If I were to ask myself that question even a week ago I don’t know if I would be able to answer it. The truth is I still don’t know if I could, but I can tell you what I do know…

My name is Andrea Kate Smithies and I am a strong and empowered young woman in every way that matters. I love sunrises and sunsets and am often up for both, I guess that makes me a morning person and that is ok by me. My heart belongs to the academic world, that isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy a small party every once in a while, however, my school work comes first (thanks to my parents for setting that straight). I get excited over the small things, like molecule model kits or things that fly.

These are the building blocks of who I really am. I can’t wait to grow into the person I am meant to be.
